NEW: Professional Development Fund (PDF) for UC Berkeley Lecturers The Professional Development Fund Pool is open to all Unit 18 non-Senate faculty (lecturers and other instructors covered by the Unit 18 contract) with teaching appointments on the UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco campuses. Grants of from $500 to $8000 are available for teaching, research, and scholarship.

The Student Learning Center
The Student Learning Center provides individual and group tutoring in a variety of disciplines as well as adjunct courses and a number of stand-alone offerings. In addition, staff of the SLC are available to consult with faculty or groups of faculty on teaching to multiple learning styles, facilitating peer groups in the classroom, and techniques to promote active learning.
Faculty Help Desk, College of Letters and Science
The Faculty Help Desk provides a great deal of information, not just for L and S faculty, but for all faculty.
University Health Services, Tang Center
The Faculty and Staff Services at Tang provide a range of help for individual faculty for themselves as well as consultation for dealing with various student problems.
Disabled Students’ Program
Provides information for faculty on working with students with disabilities as well as access to accommodation letters for students with disabilities.
Test Proctoring Assistance for Students with Disabilites
Provides information and assistance to faculty who have students registered with the Disabled Students’ Program who need specific accommodations for taking exams.
Athletic Study Center
The ASC offers tutoring and advising to student athletes and consultation to faculty who work with student athletes.
